Fisheries Protection Officer - Falkland Islands

Starting Salary: £36,274 - £41,668 dependent on qualifications and experience. 25% Gratuity on successful completion of contract.

The post is for a fixed term of up to four years in the first instance with the possibility of extension. Secondment and Interchange opportunities will be considered.

The Role: To provide an efficient fishery protection service to uphold regulations, prevent and deter illegal fishing and support crew welfare and safety protocols.

The Person: A BSc in a relevant subject or a minimum of 5 years’ equivalent experience in a similar role or a Marine Certificate of Competency or Skipper (Full) Fishing Certificate. Applicants must be able to work under pressure, with previous experience of working in Fisheries Protection or Law enforcement and have proven abilities to work effectively as part of a team or with minimal supervision.
