Maintenance Manager - Falkland Islands Government Air Service

Starting Salary from: £57,716 to £66,084 (depending on qualifications and experience) with eligabilty for 25% (taxable) gratuity.  Generous recruitment package. 

This is a wonderfully unique opportunity to work in a vibrant Island community. The Air Service services East/West Falklands, and outer Islands. 

The Role:The postholder is responsible for the leadership and management of Aircraft Engineering section and ensuring that it meets all requirements for the Continuing Airworthiness of the FIGAS fleet. The role also involves management of assigned tasks, staff, equipment and resources within the boundaries of the Safety Management System to meet operational demands, whilst liaising with other departments to ensure a smooth and cost-effective air transport systems for the Falkland Islands.

The Person:

The successful applicant must have the following: Valid EASA/UK Part 66 B1.2 licence with Category C. Type ratings on BN2B-26 Islander Aircraft. Qualification or experience in compass swing inspections. Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (or equivalent). Human Factors for Leaders and Managers. Practical Skill for Investigators (Multi Environment). Current driving licence. UK Civil Aviation Authority Airworthiness Course

The Package

• Fixed Term Contract up to 4 years.
• Starting Salary £57,716 to £66,084 (depending on qualifications and experience) 
• Eligibility for a 25% Gratuity (taxable), paid upon successful completion of the contract.
