Are you an experienced NMC Registered Dual Midwife/Nurse with a positive attitude and excellent people skills.
The King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) has an excellent opportunity for a Dual Midwife/Nurse interested in working in a small supportive team to provide and deliver excellent care to the community with the opportunity to make important contributions and develop services.
The King Edward VII Memorial hospital provides Health care to residents of the Falkland Islands and is based in the capital Stanley. KEMH offer the opportunity to work in an environment with good patient contract and with a supportive and friendly team.
We want to recruit the right applicants who will be currently registered with NMC or equivalent to fill the following post.
- Nursing Sister/Midwife – dual qualified and registered, you will work in the nursing team alongside KEMH colleagues to provide nursing and midwifery care.
The Package
- Fixed Term Contract, up to 4 years.
- Competitive Salary - £35,774 - £41,168 depending on qualifications and experience, along with on call and unsocial hours allowances.
- This role attracts a market supplement of £12,000 - £15,000 per annum that will be subject to an annual review.
- Eligibility for a 25% Gratuity (taxable).
- 41 days paid leave, 30 days paid annual leave plus 11 government and public holidays.
- Relocation Allowance, to help with moving costs.
- Flights Package for you and any recognised dependents residing with you at post both at the beginning and end of contract, along with additional annual return flights contingent on the duration of the contract.
- Government Housing for rent and a starter pack to help you settle in.

Health & Social Services Department
The Health and Social Services Department is one of the Directorates of the Falkland Islands Government (FIG) which offers a range of fulfilling job opportunities across the full spectrum of public services.
